Terms of service
Updated November 2, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and PagedPDF ("we"). By using the API, you agree to them. If you use it for a company, you're agreeing for that company too. You must be at least 18.
The service
PagedPDF turns HTML you send into PDF files. We can change or improve it over time. If we plan to remove something you rely on, we'll try to tell you first.
Your API key
Keep your key secret and use it only from your own servers. You're responsible for everything done with it. If it's exposed, email us and we'll replace it.
Plans and payment
- Paid plans renew every month until you cancel. Prices are listed on the pricing page and include any sales tax or VAT.
- Payments are processed by Stripe through Link, which acts as the seller of record. Link's own terms apply to the payment.
- If you cancel, your key keeps working until the end of the month you've paid for.
- If you change plan, Stripe works out any difference for the time left in that month.
- We can change our prices. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a change affects your plan, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
- If a payment fails, access continues while Stripe retries. If Stripe stops retrying, your subscription ends and your key stops working.
Refunds
We don't normally refund part of a month. If something went wrong, email hello@pagedpdf.com and we'll look at it. Link can also issue refunds in some cases. A full refund or a payment dispute ends your subscription and your key stops working. This doesn't limit any refund rights the law gives you.
Limits
Your plan sets how many documents you can make each month. Unused documents don't roll over. The technical limits are in the API docs.
Acceptable use
Don't use PagedPDF to:
- Break the law or infringe anyone's rights
- Make forged or deceptive documents, such as fake IDs, fake invoices or phishing material
- Make or spread malware
- Attack, probe or overload our service or anyone else's, including through URLs in your documents
- Get around your plan's limits
You can use PagedPDF inside your own products. Don't resell plain access to the API itself.
Your content
Your documents stay yours. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service. You're responsible for having the right to send them, including any personal data they contain. The privacy page explains how we handle them.
Suspending or ending access
We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if your use puts the service or other customers at risk. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first. You can stop using the service at any time.
No guarantees
We work to keep PagedPDF reliable and accurate, but it's provided "as is". We don't guarantee it will always be available, or that every PDF will be free of errors. Check any document that matters before you rely on it.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
If your documents or your use of the service cause a claim against us because you broke these terms, you'll cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, and disputes go to the courts there. If you're a consumer, this doesn't remove any protections you have where you live.
Changes
We can update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for changes that matter, tell you by email at least 14 days before they apply. If you keep using PagedPDF after that, you accept them.
